Bomb-diggity Boston

The Boston sports scene is blowing up. The New England Revolution just got done losing its third consecutive MLS Cup. The New England Patriots are 9-0 and on their way to another Super Bowl. The Boston Celtics are last undefeated NBA team at 8-0 after a massively busy offseason. Oh ya, and the Boston Red Sox are the World Series champs.

Boston has lost the right to complain from here on out. No one jumped for joy this time around for the Red Sox because there was no reason to feel sympathetic for them after the WS drought ended in 2004. The Pats obviously lose no love with their coldness to the media, questionable ethics and no fun, business-like approach. You can sympathize with the Revolution for their Buffalo-Billesque three-peat, but ultimately what's the point? The MLS is a terrible league in terms of its skill level. It doesn't have much validity. I'll buy liking the Celtics because of their long-running futility, but if they were to win it all I can hear the critics now clamoring that they bought a title.

I just think its crazy that the Boston franchises are this good. Though the Boston Bruins are not at the top of the NHL, it is hockey and if they aren't a bad team. Anyone can with the Stanley Cup if they get hot at the right time. I can't remember a time when an entire city of pro teams were kicking this much butt at the same time. Even BC football is good this year!

It's time for Boston to share the wealth.
